NCAA Champion Gators Honored at Orange and Blue Debut
Monday, April 11, 2011 | Track and Field
The two-time defending NCAA Indoor Champion Florida men's track and field team was honored on Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium between the first and second quarters of the Orange & Blue Debut, presented by Scotts.
In March, the Gators became just the fourth different team in NCAA history to win NCAA Indoor Men's Championships in back-to-back years. The Gators scored 52 total team points to defeat second-place Texas A&M by 12. Florida was aided by individual national championships from Will Claye (men's triple jump) and Jeff Demps (men's 60m).
No. 1 Florida returns to action on Saturday when it plays host to the Tom Jones Memorial Classic beginning at 12 p.m. ET.
