Coach Thornqvist Previews NCAA Round of 16 Match vs. Clemson

Less than 24 hours after earning a place in the NCAA Championships Round of 16, Florida women's tennis head coach Roland Thornqvist met with the media to discuss the Gator's opening round victories and preview Friday's match-up against Clemson at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium in Stanford, Calif.
The second-seeded Gators (27-1) and 15th-seeded Tigers (21-10) met during the regular season, with Florida taking the hard-fought 4-0 win in the quarterfinals of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships on Feb. 19.
The Gators earned impressive 4-0 victories against South Carolina State and South Carolina in the first two rounds of the NCAAs played in Gainesville to advance to the NCAA Round of 16 for the 28th time in the 30-year history of the Championships.
