
Gator Jamie Bohunicky Registers Personal Record at USA Long Course National Championships

Four Gator swimmers took to the pool at Stanford University's Avery Aquatic Center on the second day of competition at the 2011 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships, including a personal-best 1:59.78 by junior Jamie Bohunicky (Gainesville, Fla.) in the 200 free prelims. Bohunicky finished ninth overall in the finals, clocking in at 2:00.18.
Florida teammate and 200 IM National Champion Elizabeth Beisel (North Kingstown, R.I.) also swam in the 200 free finals, finishing 20th with a 2:03.07 mark. Earlier in the evening, Beisel swam the 100 back in 1:01.12 to finish sixth in the field.
Gator great Ryan Lochte (Daytona Beach, Fla.) took third in the 100 back, touching in 53.79, while two-time SEC Swimmer of the Year Conor Dwyer (Winnetka, Ill.) finished 12th in the 200 free putting in a 1:49.96 performance.

Universal Sports will carry the competition live August 2-3, beginning at 9 p.m. ET. It will also be broadcast on NBC on August 6, from 4 p.m. to 6p.m. and August 7, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET, with re-airs each night on Universal Sports, slated at 8 p.m. ET. All sessions will also be webcast live on www.usaswimming.org/nationals.
