Gator Volleyball Adds Florida's Senior Day to 2011 Broadcast Schedule

The No. 7 University of Florida volleyball team will now appear on national or regional television 10 times during the 2011 season. Another televised home game has been added to the television slate, as well as a change in the broadcast information for the Gators' October 30th showdown in Lexington against SEC rival Kentucky.
The Gators' road trip to square off with the Wildcats in Lexington will air live on Sun Sports and FOX SportSouth at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 30th, courtesy of Kentucky's Big Blue Network.
Florida has now added the Gators' Senior Day to the broadcast slate, as Auburn comes to town on Sunday, November 20th at 1:30 p.m. The match commemorates the achievements of seniors Cassandra Anderson (Bakersfield, Calif.), Stephanie Ferrell (Los Angeles, Calif.), Elissa Hausmann (Tampa, Fla.), Kristy Jaeckel (Littleton, Colo.) and Kelly Murphy (Wilmington, Ill.). This group has compiled an impressive 88-14 record over the last three years, including going 18-11 against ranked opponents and appearing in three consecutive NCAA regional semifinals.
These five Gators have taken home seven All-SEC honors, 13 All-SEC weekly selections, 13 SEC Academic Honor Roll nods, seven All-American recognitions, four All-South Region honors, and two SEC titles. Murphy also has four individual distinctions, as she was honored as the 2008 SEC Freshman of the Year, 2008 AVCA National Freshman of the Year, 2008 Under Armour/Volleyball Magazine National Freshman of the Year and the 2010 SEC Player of the Year.
The Gators, the 2010 Southeastern Conference Champions, were 10-2 in televised matches last year en route to the first-ever 20-0 SEC season and the No.1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
