TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Gators found a new starting receiver to use against Florida State.
They found him on defense.
Sophomore cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy made his first career start at receiver on Saturday.
Purifoy has lined up a receiver a few times during the season but had not started there until today.
Meanwhile, Purifoy also is expected to start at his regular cornerback position, which would make him the first Florida player to start on offense and defense in the same game since Kiewan Ratliff in 2002 -- against Florida State.
