Monty Grow, a safety on two Southeastern Conference championship teams, was born in Inverness, Fla.
The Citrus High star was a four-year letter winner and forever will be known for the rude way he treated West Virginia quarterback Darren Studstill in this tide-turning sequence that helped lead the Gators to 41-7 blowout of the previously unbeaten and third-ranked Mountaineers in the Sugar Bowl following UF's 1993 conference-championship season.
The bowl was Grow's final game in a Florida uniform and he definitely left an impression on Studstill ... and Brett Musberger.
