
No. 8 Florida Welcomes Missouri, Mississippi State to Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The No. 8 Gator volleyball squad, led by reigning SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week Maddy Monserez, will be back in the O'Dome Friday and Sunday for a two-match home stand as Florida plays host to Missouri (13-9, 5-4 SEC) at 7 p.m. Friday live on the SEC Network and Mississippi State (6-17, 1-7 SEC) at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on the SEC Network + platform. The Orange and Blue (14-3, 8-0 SEC) will look to add to a nine-game win streak, the longest in the SEC, as the Gators also aim to remain the only undefeated team in SEC play.
Florida owns 12 undefeated SEC seasons all-time, with the last being in 2010.
The Gators, ranked No. 8 in this week's RPI, own the fifth-best hitting efficiency (.296) in the NCAA this season, led by freshman standout middle Rhamat Alhassan, who ranks fourth with her .461 clip. Florida leads the SEC through league play in hitting efficiency (.330), opponent hitting efficiency (.127), blocks (2.54/s) and service aces (1.54/s) and is aided by junior setter Mackenzie Dagostino, who checks in ninth in this week's NCAA stats with 0.54 aces per set and 15th in assists per set (11.39).

· The only SEC team undefeated in league play, the No. 8 Gators will look to add their ninth and 10th league victories against Mizzou and Mississippi State this weekend

· The reigning SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week in senior DS Maddy Monserez turned in a season-best performance as well at South Carolina to continue a stellar season for the veteran Florida back row. Monserez scooped up a season-best 18 digs to lead all players on the floor, her third double-digit dig performance of the campaign
· Monserez led the Orange and Blue with 3.57 digs per set against South Carolina and Arkansas and under Monserez's watch, Florida had zero reception errors against South Carolina for the third time in SEC play and the fifth time this season, while she helped stabilize the Gators back row against Arkansas Sunday as UF hit .372 against the Razorbacks, its third-best hitting efficiency in conference play
· Maddy registered a perfect reception percentage in a team-high 44 reception attempts in UF's two matches against the Gamecocks and Razorbacks and served up one of her five aces this season against Arkansas, tallying a .964 service percentage to lead UF through the week
· Junior outside hitter Gabby Mallette has come on strong in SEC play after playing just one non-conference set prior to the SEC season. Mallette led UF with a .366 clip against USC and Arkansas with 20 kills, second on the team
· Freshman Rhamat Alhassan continues to impress -- Alhassan turned in a career-best .864 hitting efficiency against Arkansas (11-0-13)
