
SEC Network & ESPNU Feature Expansive Volleyball Coverage in 2014

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida volleyball squad announced its 2014 schedule May 5, and with the launch of the SEC Network August 14, the Orange and Blue faithful will be able to enjoy 10 volleyball matches this fall on both the SEC Network and ESPNU.
Florida's first SEC Network match will be on the road at LSU Oct. 3, while the Gators will square off with Texas A&M in their home SEC Network debut Oct. 12 -- one of three network matches in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in the fall.
The new 24/7 sports network operated by ESPN launches Aug. 14, and is the source for a total of 65 league soccer and volleyball contests as announced by ESPN and the SEC Wednesday. In addition, a number of SEC soccer and volleyball match ups can be found on ESPNU this fall.
The 80 games scheduled by the SEC and ESPN for 2014 include:
· 40 volleyball games on SEC Network
· 25 soccer games on SEC Network
· 10 volleyball games on ESPNU
· 5 soccer games on ESPNU

Volleyball matches on the SEC Network will air consistently on Wednesdays and Sundays through the regular season. The Southeastern Conference and ESPN have signed a 20-year agreement through 2034 to create and operate a multiplatform network which will launch August 14, 2014. The new network and its accompanying digital platform will air SEC content 24/7 including more than 1,000 events in its first year. The network will televise 45 SEC football games, more than 100 men's basketball games, 60 women's basketball games, 75 baseball games, and events from across the SEC's 21 sports annually. Programming will also include in-depth commentary and analysis in studio shows, daily news and information original content such as SEC Storied, spring football games, and more. Hundreds of additional live events from various sports will be offered exclusively on the digital platform. AT&T U-Verse, DISH, Google Fiber and National Rural Telecommunications cooperative (NRTC) have agreed to carry the SEC Network.
