Gators Celebrate Season and Seniors at Annual Banquet

Florida celebrated its season – which hasn't yet come to a close – at its annual banquet Tuesday evening inside the Gator Room.
Award winners, as voted on by the coaches and players:
· Dorothy M. Anderson Memorial Award –Scholarship and Character: Brianna Morgan
· Rheau Stakeley Sportsmanship Award: Kourtney Keegan
· Evelyn Puckett Award-Most Improved: Belinda Woolcock
· Most Valuable Player: Olivia Janowicz
· Neal Anderson Scholastic Award-Highest GPA: Brianna Morgan

The Gators still have the NCAA Championships portion of their schedule still to play and action begins Fri., May 9.
The format of the NCAA event ends with the singles and doubles tournaments on May 26 so having the banquet prior to the start of it makes sense since those who won't be competing in the individual event head home for the summer following the team competition.
