
Summer Tennis Update

Several members of the University of Florida women's tennis team have been busy on the courts this summer, participating in various tournaments across the country. Here are a few of the highlights of current Gators representing the Orange and Blue over the last few months:
Brooke Austin, Freshman
- Quarterfinalist at the 2014 MERZ Aesthetics Women's Challenger
- Won the 2014 ITF $10K Palmetto Pro Open in Sumter, South Carolina
- Advanced to the quarterfinals of the doubles main draw at the 2014 ITF $10K Palmetto Pro Open alongside fellow Gator freshman Josie Kuhlman
- Reached the quarterfinals of the 2014 $10K Women's Hospital Classic
- Captured the 2014 $10K Women's Hospital Classic Doubles crown with former Lady Vol Natalie Pluskota (Fun fact: Pluskota partnered with recent Gator grad Alexandra Cercone to win a $10K tournament in Atlanta, Georgia in 2011)
Josie Kuhlman, Freshman
- Advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2014 ITF $10K Palmetto Pro Open, falling to the eventual winner and fellow Gator freshman Brooke Austin
- Reached the final round of the 2014 ITF $10K ResortQuest Pro Women's Open in Bethany Beach, Delaware
- Made the final round of the 2014 ITF $10K Charlotte Clay Classic
- Advanced to the semifinals of the 2014 $10K Women's Hospital Classic
Peggy Porter, Freshman
- Advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2014 ITF $25K Hunt Pro Tennis Classic in El Paso, Texas
- Semifinalist at the 2014 ITF $10K ResortQuest Pro Women's Open (singles and doubles) in Bethany Beach, Delaware
- Reached the quarterfinal round of the 2014 ITF $10K Charlotte Clay Classic
- Advanced to the semifinals of the 2014 $50K FSP Gold River Women's Challenger Doubles Event alongside TCU grad Macall Harkins
- Paired with fellow Gator Brianna Morgan to reach the quarterfinal round of the USTA Player Development Women's $50K Classic Doubles Event
