
Free Parking Shuttle Available for Volleyball Fans Saturday vs. Oklahoma

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- It's a busy weekend in Gator athletics as the fall athletics season is officially under way! The Florida football team hosts Idaho at 7 p.m. in the season-opener, while the Gator volleyball team kicks off the 2014 campaign with the Active Ankle Challenge Aug. 29-30 in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
Special parking shuttle arrangements have been made for Florida volleyball fans attending UF's 2:30 p.m. Saturday tilt against Oklahoma in the O'Dome prior to football kickoff between the Vandals and Gators at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Volleyball fans are asked to park at Garage IX on the UF campus, located on the south corner of Gale Lemerand Drive and Archer Road, where ESCOT Bus Lines will provide shuttle service to the O'Connell Center continuously from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for the Gators vs. Sooners match. Gator fans can then catch the shuttle back to Garage IX following the match.
The No. 10 Gators will host Georgia Southern, Idaho and Oklahoma in the season-opening tournament and will first take the court Friday at noon against Georgia Southern, then Friday evening against Idaho at 7:30 p.m. and again Saturday at 2:30 p.m. against the Oklahoma Sooners preceding the UF vs. Idaho football game.
