She placed a personal-best T6 individually in her first collegiate competition, the 2013 Cougar Classic, shooting 73-73-68 (-2); her final-round score of 68 is a collegiate-low.
Sophomore Kelly Grassel (Chesterton, Ind.): After helping Michigan State to a share of the 2014 Big Ten title, Grassel aims to contribute on the course in her first career competition with Florida.
Freshman Taylor Tomlinson (Gainesville, Fla.): Following a notable summer, advancing to match play at the 2014 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship in Glen Cove, N.Y.; Tomlinson will tee off for the first time as a Gator.
Junior Ursa Orehek (Domzale, Slovenia): As a sophomore, she competed in eight rounds for a final 76.1 stroke average. She recently competed for Slovenia in the World Amateur Team Championships in Karuizawa, Japan, along with Gator teammates Maria Torres (Puerto Rico) and Vlckova.
Head Coach Emily Glaser Says: “Since we have won the last two years, we've got a lot of good vibes returning to Charleston. It (Yeamans Hall Club) is a really great golf course, which we've obviously had some success on. It lends itself to some good opportunities for birdies and it's played firm and fast the last couple of years. We're excited to head back to the Cougar Classic.”
