Florida cruises to 4-1 victory against Vanderbilt, set for vs. Auburn in SEC Championship Semifinals

Freshman Katelyn Huber won the match-clinching point and Florida will play for a spot in the SEC Championship Finals this afternoon.
BELLEAIR, Fla. – The No. 1-seed Florida women's golf team cruised to a 4-1 victory over the No. 8-seed Vanderbilt Commodores in the SEC Championship Quarterfinals on Monday. The Gators will take on No. 4-seed Auburn Tigers in the semifinals at 1 p.m. as live coverage will start at 3 p.m. on SECN+
The Gators advance to match play semifinals in consecutive seasons and the third time overall in program history, tied for the third-most all-time in conference history. Florida is now 3-3 in quarterfinals action, winning three of the last four outings (2022 & 2025).
Florida is set to take on the Auburn, which defeated 5-seed Ole Miss 5-0 this morning. The Gators and Tigers last met in the 2022 SEC Championship Semifinals where UF won 3-2. The Orange and Blue are 2-0 all-time in semifinals play at the conference tournament.
The winner between the Gators and Tigers will advance to the SEC Championship Finals on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with live coverage on SEC Network. If Florida wins the semifinals match, they will play for the SEC Team Championship and if they were to win that, UF would become the first school in conference history to complete the SEC Triple Crown: SEC Individual Championship, SEC Team Championship and top team in stroke play. Only 2025 South Carolina won both the stroke and match play portions.
The second semifinals match features No 6-seed Tennessee and No. 7-seed Texas A&M.
Making their move at the turn, Florida led in four of the five matches, including up multiple holes in three of the pairings. The first-ever meeting between the Gators and Commodores ended in a quick 20-minute window as UF won the first three matches on the board.
Megan Propeck, who was the first out, secured the opening point behind a 3&1 victory. Tied in her match through 13 holes, she won three of the next four holes (14, 15 & 17) with two birdies and an eagle. The win was her third all-time in the postseason after coming in 2-2 in ACC Championship match play at Virginia.
Florida moved to the match-clinching point as Siuue Wu made it a 2-0 lead with a 4&3 win, in her first-ever conference tournament outing. The sophomore only lost two holes in her total round of 15 holes.
Turning the attention to the 16th hole, freshman and Gainesville native Katelyn Huber came through. She secured match-clinching point 2&1. Huber was tied through six holes and then made her move, winning three straight holes (7-9) and leading as much as 4Up with five to play.
Three of the four Gators that won points this morning, were making their SEC Championship match play debuts.
The final two matches left on the course ended in favor of who was leading the match. The 2026 SEC Individual Champion, Paula Francisco won 2Up (had five holes remaining) to improve her record to 3-0-1 all-time in the conference tournament.
Vanderbilt's lone point came in a 4Up (four holes to play) in the match between Elaine Widjaja and Ava Merrill.
