
Gator Men and Women Ranked No. 1 in Respective College Swimming Polls

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The University of Florida men's and women's swimming and diving teams are ranked first nationally in the initial CollegeSwimming.com poll of the 2015-16 season.
The Gator men have a point total of 789.69, based off their season-opening weekend at the 2015 Pinch A Penny All Florida Invitational inside the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida. The UF men are one of five SEC schools ranked among the Top-25, joining Alabama (second), South Carolina (fourth), Missouri (fifth), and Tennessee (22nd).
On the women's side, UF led the field with 746.76 points, following competition at the 2015 Pinch a Penny All Florida Invitational. The Gator women are one of six SEC schools ranked among the Top-25, joining Missouri (seventh), Alabama (eighth), South Carolina (12th), Arkansas (18th), Tennessee (19th).
The UF women's swimming team returns to action Thursday, when they open the 2015-16 conference slate on the road against Vanderbilt inside the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center natatorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The meet is schedule to begin at 8 p.m. ET.
Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to action on Saturday, October 10, squaring away with the University of Minnesota at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis at 11 a.m. ET.
