- The Colonials are the preseason favorite to win the Northeast Conference for a third consecutive season.
- Robert Morris is the first of two consecutive opponents from the NEC, as Florida next plays host to the Gator Holiday Classic and faces Saint Francis in the opening round on December 20.
- The Gators will take a full week break from competition during final exams on the UF campus before returning to the hardwood.
- The Colonials have not played since Sunday, December 6.
A Gator Win on Sunday Would...
- Mark the team's first nine-game win streak since the 2013-14 squad won nine straight - a run that spanned from November to January.
- Improve UF's overall record to 9-1 and that would be tied for the fifth-best start to a season in program history. Seven other Gator squads also began 9-1.
- Be Florida's sixth straight home win against a non-conference opponent.
8-1 for Eighth Time
- The Gators are 8-1 for the eighth time in program history.
- The last time UF won seven of its first eight games was in 2008-09, when the Gators dropped their season-opener (at Florida Gulf Coast) before ripping off 15 straight wins en route to the best start in program history.
- Of the other seven teams that had a similar start, each of those stretched its season-opening record to at least 9-1, with the 1990-01, 1983-84 and 2000-01 squads dropping the 11th game of the year.
- The 1984-85 Gators started 12-1, while the 1995-96 and 2005-06 clubs both went 13-1 to open their respective campaigns.
Florida vs. Robert Morris
- Florida leads the all-time series vs. Robert Morris, 2-0.
- Both prior match-ups between the two teams have been in Gainesville.
- The most recent game in the series was a 70-50 UF win on Dec. 21, 2010 in the Gator Holiday Classic.
- The first-ever game between Florida and Robert Morris was on Nov. 12, 2007 and marked just the second game on the sideline for current UF head coach Amanda Butler.
Quick Scout: Robert Morris
- Robert Morris is picked to win the NEC for a third consecutive year.
- Sunday's game against the Gators will be RMU's sixth 'true' away contest of the year.
- Junior Rebecca Navarro leads the country in three-point field-goal percentage, hitting treys at a 58.1 percent clip (18-31)!
- As a team, the Colonials convert 34.9 percent of their three-pointers (59-169) and are on pace to be one of the best three-point shooting teams in program history.
- Three Colonials already have at least 14 treys this year.
- In its most recent game, RMU trailed at Iowa by just 47-41 entering the fourth quarter, before the hosting Hawkeyes outscored the Colonials, 22-9, in the final frame to take the win, 69-50.
Team Ties
- UF freshman Eleanna Christinaki was teammates on the Greek Junior National Team with RMU junior Anna Niki Stamolamprou and freshman Viki Karambatsa.
Looking Back: Florida def. Wisconsin, 91-75 (Thursday, December 10)
- Florida's guards combined for 75 points and guided the Gators to a 91-75 road win against Wisconsin at the Kohl Center Thursday evening.
- Wisconsin jumped out to a quick nine-point lead and held a one-point halftime advantage.
- The Gators used a 28-9 run from the end of the first half into the third quarter – a span of 6:06 – that flipped a five-point deficit into a 14-point advantage, 67-53.
- Simone Westbrook, who finished with a career-best 18 points to accompany six steals, five rebounds and four assists, halted the run with a bucket and Ronni Williams, who totaled four points with four rebounds before fouling out, hit a tough jumper inside and Florida was back up eight with just under five minutes to play.
- Freshman Eleanna Christinaki scored a game and career-best 21 points, as she hit 7-of-9 from the field, including her only three-point attempt, and 6-of-8 free throws.
- Cassie Peoples hit a season-best 20 points on 7-of-13 shots, including all five free throw tries.
- Senior January Miller added 10 points that included the 800th of her career.
Gator Watch
