
Becky Greene and Taylor Tubbs Named 2015 USTFCCCA All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Redshirt freshman Becky Greene and sophomore Taylor Tubbs were named 2015 Division I Women's All-Academic, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday.
Greene, who is majoring in food resource economics, carries a 3.4 cumulative GPA. Along with her success in the classroom, the New Zealand native excelled in her first year running cross country for the Gators, finishing in the top-five of two races, including a season-best second-place finish at the Mountain Dew Invitational. In that race, Greene ran the ninth-fastest 5k in UF history (16:55.93).
The redshirt freshman ended her debut season for Florida earning USTFCCCA All-Region honors after finishing 25th at the NCAA South Region Championships.
Tubbs, an economics major, holds a 3.94 cumulative GPA. In her second season for the Orange & Blue, the sophomore developed into the Gators most consistent runner throughout the season. She led the team in scoring in three races and had two top-three finishes and five top-five finishes.
Additionally, she won her first collegiate race at the Western Carolina Invitational and ended the season setting a new personal-best 6k and the eighth-fasted 6k in UF history at the NCAA South Region Championships en route to being named USTFCCCA All-Region.
The duo was among 153 women in Division I who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Honorees must have compiled a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and have finished in the top 15 finishers (or 10 percent) at regionals or as an All-American at the national meet
