“Tom Jones was a special guy. He worked here for 15 years and did a lot of great things here at the University of Florida. It meant a lot to not just the women's program, but as a young coach, he gave me a lot of great tips that helped me become a better coach and I was always appreciative of that. Tom and Coach Lemke were best friends, so it's very important for Coach Lemke as well. We like to honor Tom by putting on a great meet. It's about coming and running and having the opportunity to get better, and that's what we saw here today. We had people from all over the world here today representing their countries. It was a great, great meet and a great way to honor Tom. We look forward to doing it again next year.”
