Gators Conclude Play at Freeman Memorial Tennis Championships

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 3-ranked University of Florida women's tennis team concluded play at the 14th annual Freeman Memorial Tennis Championship at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas.
No. 110-ranked sophomore Anna Danilina reached the singles semifinal but fell to the No. 42-ranked Giuliana Olmos of USC, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6. Junior Spencer Liang and senior Brianna Morgan each fell to ranked opponents in the quarterfinal rounds.
In doubles action, the Gator tandems fell to their west coast opponents. The No. 50-ranked duo of Danilina and Morgan fell in a close match to Yee and Lord of Stanford, 6-4.
UF opens the 2016 season with a dual match against USF on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 4 p.m. at the Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville.
