Monserez Earns Fifth SEC Setter of the Week Honor

Monserez leads the nation in assists per set (12.28) for a sixth straight week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Redshirt sophomore setter Allie Monserez totaled 77 assists, 12 digs, and five block assists in Florida's sweeps of Ole Miss and LSU this past weekend, earning her Southeastern Conference Setter of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday (Oct. 31) afternoon.
This is the fifth SEC Setter of the Week plaudit for Monserez this season.
Friday (Oct. 28) night against Ole Miss, Monserez logged 44 assists, the second-highest total by an SEC player in any three-set match this year.
Monserez, the national leader in assists per set (12.28) for a sixth straight week, owns two of the four highest assist totals among SEC players in three-set matches this season, as her 43 assists at Alabama back on Sep. 25 rank tied for third-most in that regard.
The Windemere, Fla. native's smooth passing helped the Gators hit .363 in their two matches this past weekend, including an incredibly efficient .412 outing against LSU. Florida continues to lead the nation in hitting efficiency (.334).
