A pair of Gator gymnasts join the 2016 spring graduating class this weekend. Bridget Sloan and Kiersten Wang are among the 55 Florida student-athletes receiving their degrees during this weekend's commencement ceremonies. After a rain delay, Friday's graduation ceremonies at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium were held. Above, Bridget Sloan is congratulated after receiving her degree.
Sloan graduates with her telecommunications degree. Wang graduates cum laude with her degree in civil engineering.
Both were members of Florida's 2013, 2014 and 2015 NCAA Championship teams. They also were part of two Southeastern Conference teams – Wang (2012, 2013) and Sloan (2013, 2016).
Sloan is Florida's career leader for all-around wins (27), event titles (95), NCAA event titles (6) and 10.0 marks (8). Wang is a four-time member of the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches Scholastic All-America team. She twice turned in her collegiate floor exercise best of 9.925 as a senior in 2015. Both also appeared on the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll during their careers.
