Gators Advance to Final Round of Stroke Play at NCAA Championship

EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Florida men's golf team wrapped up Round 3 of the NCAA Championship in 13th place on Sunday to survive the cut to the top 15 and advance to the final round of stroke play. The Gators will need to finish in the top eight on Monday to continue on to match play.
Florida carded a 13-over 293 at the Eugene Country Club to advance to Round 4 with a total of +26 (866). Freshman Sam Horsfield recorded a 2-over 72 on Sunday, while freshman Gordon Neale shot a 3-over 73. With a total of even-par 210, Neale is tied for ninth place.
Oregon's Aaron Wise leads the individual competition with a total of -6 (204), while Vanderbilt (5-over 845) holds a two-stroke lead in the team contest.
The Gators tee off the fourth round at 11:30 a.m. PT. The individual national champion will be crowned at the conclusion of play on Monday, while the top eight squads will advance to match play to determine the team champion.
