
Madden Leads Gators on Day 2 of Auburn Diving Invitational

Women in third, men in fourth after two days of competition
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators wrapped up the second day of the Auburn Diving Invitational on Monday, with the women in third place and the men in fourth.
Brooke Madden led both sides with a second place finish in the women's 3-meter final, posting a score of 321.55 – a season-best for her. Emma Whitner finished in ninth with a mark of 260.00 and Brianna Felegi finished in 12th with a score of 223.00. Boni Trinter rounded out the women with a 15th place finish, recording a score of 194.80.
In the men's 1-meter championship final, redshirt senior Dalton Goss posted a score of 251.20 to finish 12th. Sophomore Alex Farrow followed in 14th, finishing the final with a 244.45.
Madden once again led the women in the 3-meter preliminary round, finishing second overall with a mark of 318.15. Whitner finished ninth in the prelim with a score of 230.05, while Felegi and Trinter went 13th and 14th with scores of 202.90 and 196.45, respectively.
During the men's 1-meter preliminary round, Goss finished ninth overall with a score of 252.20. Farrow recorded a score of 212.10 in the prelim to finish 15th.
The final day of the Auburn Invitational begins Tuesday at noon E.T., 11 a.m. C.T. Both the men and women will dive platform tomorrow and results can be found at divemeets.com.
