GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida women's lacrosse team (14-2, 8-0) will close out the regular season on Saturday, with a matchup against the Georgetown Hoyas (9-7, 7-1). The winner of this game will earn the No. 1 seed at the 2017 BIG EAST Tournament, presented by Jeep.
The Gators have already clinched at least a share of their seventh consecutive conference championship, and would win the BIG EAST outright for the second year in a row with a victory.
Florida and Georgetown will be meeting for the seventh time, with the Gators holding a 5-1 advantage in the series. Last season, Florida picked up a pair of wins over the Hoyas, including an 11-8 decision in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament.
The opening draw is set for 1 p.m. from Donald R. Dizney Stadium. A live stream of the game will be available via YouTube, with Daniel Gillman and Connor Buckridge on the call.
