Four Gators Earn SEC Honors

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four Florida men's golfers picked up postseason SEC Honors, the league office announced Wednesday.
Alejandro Tosti was named First Team All-SEC. The junior has had a stand out season, leading the Gators in stroke average (70.04) and won a team-high two tournaments, including the stroke play portion of the SEC Championship where he triumphed after a two-hole playoff.
Sam Horsfield and Gordon Neale were both named Second Team All-SEC. Horsfield has led the way for Florida this year, notching a team-best four top-five finishes and eight top-25 finishes. The sophomore has also carded the most birdies this season (113), even or under par rounds (20) and even or under par tournaments (6).
Neale is tied for the team lead in rounds contributed to the team score (26) and tied for second in top-25 finishes (6). He is also tied for second in even or under par tournaments (5) and third in even or under par rounds (16), birdies (96) and top-10 finishes (4).
Freshman Andy Zhang was named to the All-Freshman team, the third year in a row that a Gator has garnered the honor. Zhang has been a solid member of Florida's lineup this season, appearing four out of the five wins, contributing 12 rounds and 81 birdies while picking up five top-25 finishes.
Next Up: The Orange and Blue will be back in action at a NCAA Regional location on May 15. The Gators' placement will be announced on May 4 at noon on the Golf Channel.
