
Gators Head to Oklahoma for Schooner Fall Classic

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators travel to Norman, Okla. to take part in the fifth annual Schooner Fall Classic.
The tournament field, hosted by the University of Oklahoma, consists of 15 teams. The field includes eight teams that finished last season in the top 25, Alabama (3), Florida (5), Florida State (6), Miami (16), Baylor (17), Texas (18), Texas A&M (23) and Oklahoma (24).
The Gators will be seeing some familiar faces as Florida State and Mississippi State, who were also at the Ocean Course Invitational, will be in Norman.
Redshirt freshman Elin Esborn shined in her first performance for the Gators finishing fifth on the individual leaderboard at two-under-par in South Carolina
Florida finished the Ocean Course tied for third ( 11) moving up three spots on the final day. In the third round, the Gators had the second best score of the day posting a 299 ( 7) to pass the likes of Ole Miss and North Carolina.
Course Information: The tournament is being played at the Par 71, 6,046 yards Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla.
Format: 54-hole stroke play where teams will play three rounds. The first round is scheduled for Saturday with first tee at 9:40 a.m. The second round will be played Sunday with the final round set for Sunday.
The Gators' Lineup
Taylor Tomlinson
Tomlinson is slotted in as the Gators No. 1 for the second straight tournament. With her 73 in round two of the Ocean Course, Tomlinson was one of three Gators to have an at or below par round.
Carlotta Ricolfi
Ricolfi was one of four Florida players to finish in the top 25 in the Ocean Course Invitational. She finished tied for 22nd with teammate Marta Perez.
Marta Perez
Perez recorded her seventh career top 25 finish at the Ocean Course after tying with teammate Carlotta Ricolfi at eight-over-par.
Addie Baggarly
Baggarly makes her second start in the Florida lineup after making her debut in South Carolina. She finished tied for 20th which was the Gators second best result.
Elin Esborn
After redshirting in 2016-17, Esborn made her Gator debut at the Ocean Course. She was the highest finisher placing fifth in the event which earned her All-Tournament honors.
