GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida men's and women's diving teams are back in action this week. The two teams are on the road in Auburn, Alabama for the Auburn Diving Invitational. The invitational begins on Monday, Dec. 17 and concludes on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
The women brought home third place at last year's Auburn Diving Invitational, while the men placed fourth.
Brooke Madden leads the women's squad and all of the SEC on the 1-meter. She has a season-best score of 344.10. Madden ranks No. 4 in the SEC on 3-meter, with a score of 337.70. Elizabeth Perez finds herself inside the Top-10 in the SEC in both the 1-meter and 3-meter. Perez sits in the No. 5 spot on the 3-meter with a mark of 336.10 and holds the No. 10 spot on the 1-meter with a score of 287.62.
Madden, Perez and Emma Whitner have all posted NCAA Zone qualifying scores on the 1-meter. Madden, Perez, and Whitner are joined by Teya Syskakis and Lauren Snider in notching NCAA Zone qualifying scores on the 3-Meter. Whitner has the seventh-best mark in the SEC with score of 231.80 and is the lone diver with an NCAA Zone qualifying score on the platform.
Alex Farrow paces the men's team with the ninth-best score in the SEC with a total of 368.93 points, which is also an NCAA Zone qualifying mark on the 3-meter. Nick Lydon joins Farrow as an NCAA Zone qualifier on the 3-meter with a score of 326.40. Farrow and Lydon have both registered NCAA Zone qualifying scores on the 1-meter, with totals of 312.75 and 305.10, respectively.
