
Three Gators Earn AVCA All-Region Accolades

Rachael Kramer named All-Region; Holly Carlton, Thayer Hall earned Honorable Mention nod
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 16th-ranked Florida Gators volleyball team placed one student-athlete on the 2018 AVCA All-Southeast Region Team and two on the Honorable Mention Team, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Tuesday.
Rachael Kramer earned the second AVCA All-Southeast Region honor of her career, with the first coming in the 2017 season.
Holly Carlton and Thayer Hall both found themselves on the AVCA All-Southeast Region Honorable Mention squad. This is the first AVCA honorable mention nod for both.
Kramer, Carlton, Hall and the rest of the Gators continue their NCAA Tournament run with a matchup against BYU in the Regional Semifinal. The two teams face off on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET in Provo, Utah with a spot in the Regional Final on the line.

- Ranks 48th in the nation and fifth in the SEC in hitting percentage (.358)
- Sits first in the league and 19th in the nation in blocks per set (1.40)
- Posted double-figure kills in 12 matches this season
- Recorded a double-double (10 kills, 11 blocks) at Ole Miss on Oct. 19
- Averaging 3.04 points per set during the 2018 season
- 2017 AVCA and VolleyballMag.com All-America Third Team
- 2017 All-SEC selection and 2016 SEC All-Freshmen selection
- Averaged 2.40 kills per set and 0.86 blocks per set during the 2018 season
- Sits third on the team in service aces with 32 – during conference play, she averaged 0.35 service aces per set, good for eighth in the league
- Recorded double-digit kills in 13 matches this season
- Has led the team in kills, aces and points nine times this season
- Second on the team in points per set with 3.13
- Averaged a team-best 2.93 kills per set and 3.46 points per set
- Posted double-figure kills in 16 of the 25 matches she played in
- Became the first Gator freshman in the Mary-Wise era to record at least 20 kills in a collegiate debut (20 vs. Nebraska)
- Recorded 53 kills during the first three matches of the season, becoming the first freshmen to reach the 50-kill milestone in three matches.
- Went on an 18-point service run against FIU, the longest in the rally-scoring era for Florida
- Two-time SEC Freshman of the Week (8/27), (10/1)
