Gators Travel to New Orleans for Allstate Sugar Bowl

Ricolfi moves to the No. 1 spot for first time in her collegiate career.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators travel to New Orleans for their third tournament of the spring season.
Florida finished second at the Allstate Sugar Bowl last season after winning the event at English Turn Golf & Country Club in 2016. The field includes six teams in the top 25 while LSU is the only other SEC school competing this weekend.
After a second consecutive top-15 finish, coach Emily Glaser has moved Carlotta Ricolfi into the No. 1 position for the first time in her collegiate career. Ricolfi was the Gators' top finisher at the Northrop Grumman this week in California tying for 11th at 6-over.
Behind her in the No. 2 slot, senior Taylor Tomlinson who helped the Gators win the Sugar Bowl two years ago by finishing tied for 15th at even par. This week, Tomlinson grabbed her third top-25 finish of the season at the Northrop.
A new addition to the lineup this week is freshman Addie Baggarly who slides into the No. 5 position. Baggarly tied for 24th at the Florida Challenge helping the Gators to a second place finish in Lecanto.
Florida is traveling a sixth player this weekend in Elin Esborn, who will compete as an individual. Esborn tied for 11th at the Florida Challenge in late January finishing 4-over.

Tomlinson recorded her third top-25 finish of the season this week tying for 23rd in California. Tomlinson has been in the lineup the last three seasons at the Sugar Bowl, helping Florida win the event in 2016.
Brooks won the Florida Challenge in late January after shooting a career-low 67 in the final round. In round two of the Northrop, Brooks shot even par which helped her move up 22 spots heading into the final day.
Marta Perez
Perez gets bumped up the the No. 4 position after being one of just a handful of player in the Northrop Grumman field to finish the week with double-digit birdies.
Addie Baggarly
Baggarly rejoins the lineup after not traveling to California. Her last time out she finished tied for 24th at the Florida Challenge.
Also Competing
Elin Esborn
Esborn tied for 11th on the leaderboard at the Florida Challenge and was in the Gator lineup this week in California.
