
Four Gators Win Individual Events on Day 3 of Auburn Invite

Eight Florida swimmers record B-cut times
Day 3 Results
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four Gators took home wins and eight swimmers recorded B-cuts on the final day of the Auburn Invitational.
Drew Clark took home the first victory of the day for Florida, recording a B-cut time of 15:15.71 to win the 1650 free.
Viktor Toth claimed another first place finish for the Gators, swimming a B-cut of 43.66 in the 100 free. Stanley Wu followed with an individual win of his own, claiming first in the men's 200 breast with a B-cut time of 1:58.07.
Erge Gezmis rounded out the individual wins for Florida, clinching first place in the 200 fly with a B-cut time of 1:46.77.
Madison Conway led the way for the women, finishing fifth overall in the 200 back. Jessica Rodriguez posted a top-eight finish, placing seventh in the 200 breast with a time of 2:18.91.
During the finals session, five other Gators recorded B-cut times, including three men racing in the 200 back: Dakota Mahaffey (1:44.79), Ethan Beach (1:44.84) and Corredor (1:45.08). Corredor also notched a B-cut time in the 1650 free, swimming a 15:29.69.
Rounding out Gators with B-cut times are Ben Kennedy and Christoph Margotti. Kennedy recorded a 1:47.49 in the 200 fly and Margotti posted a time of 43.70 in the 100 free.
The Gators are back in action for the SEC Championships – starting on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at Texas A&M.

How it Happened – Swimming Finals:
- Clark won the 1,650 free race, swimming a B-cut time of 15:15.71. Santiago Corredor followed in second with a B-cut time of his own, swimming a 15:29.69. Colin Rockwell rounded out the Gators in the 1,650 free, finishing sixth overall with a time of 16:00.67.
- Conway finished fifth in the women's 200 back final, posting a time of 2:00.29.
- In the men's 200 back, Dakota Mahaffey (1:44.79), Ethan Beach (1:44.84) and Santiago Corredor (1:45.08) went 2-3-4 for the Gators. Tyler Silver followed in eighth place, recording a time of 1:47.28.
- Mahaffey, Beach and Corredor all recorded B-cuts during the finals.
- Gabby Hillis finished 12th in the 100 free, registering a time of 52.66.
- Toth (43.66) and Margotti (43.70) finished first and second in the 100 free, followed by Grady Heath (44.33) in fifth place. Jack Szaranek claimed 12th place for the Gators with a time of 44.79, while Tate Callahan (45.18) and Gerry Quinn (45.23) finished 15th and 16th, respectively. Marty Stange rounded out the men with a 22nd place finish, swimming a 46.37 in the event.
- Rodriguez finished seventh in the women's 200 breast with a time of 2:18.91 and was followed by Adrianna Deboer (2:20.86) in 10th.
- Wu won the 200 breast with a time of 1:58.07, good for a B-cut qualification.
- Gezmis and Kennedy finished first and second in the 200 fly, recording B-cut times of 1:46.77 and 1:47.49, respectively.
- Conway finished fifth overall in the women's 200 back, recording a time of 2:01.85.
- Five Gator men swam their way into a final for the 200 back:
- A –Beach, Mahaffey, Corredor, Silver
- B – Erge Gezmis
- Beach and Mahaffey recorded B-cut times in the 200 back, swimming a 1:43.84 and 1:45.25, respectively.
- Hillis recorded an eighth place finish in the 100 free, posting a time of 51.82.
- Seven Florida men made their way into the finals' session in the 100 free:
- A –Margotti, Toth, Heath
- B – Quinn, Callahan, Szaranek
- C – Stange
- Margotti (43.36) and Toth (43.71) both notched B-cut times in the event.
- Two Florida women qualified for finals in the 2200 breast:
- A – Rodriguez
- B – Deboer
- Stanley Wu swam a 1:59.80 in the 200 breast to earn his way into the event final.
- Two Gator men qualified for the 200 fly final:
- A – Kennedy, Gezmis
- Kennedy's time of 1:47.44 is a B-cut time
- The Gators are back in action for the SEC Championships in College Station, Texas from Feb. 14-18.
