- Swam in the preliminaries of the 400 FR, where he recorded a split of 42.69 to help Florida to a fourth-place preliminary finish
- Totaled one relay win over the course of the season
- Notched B-cuts in the 50 free (19.94), 100 free (43.36), 200 free (1:37.03), 100 fly (47.82) and 200 IM (1:48.02)

Regular Season
- Recorded two new career-bests in the 100 free (44.48) and 100 fly (50.08) at the season-ending Last Chance Meet
2015-2016 (Freshman)
SEC Championships:
- Competed in the ‘B’ Final of the 100 Free and finished 14th overall with time of 43.85
- Clocked a season-best in the prelims (43.72)
- Registered 13 points on the finish for the first-place finishing Florida Men
- Finished 25th in the 50 free after clocking a 20.14, and 26th in the 200 free on a 1:37.15
- All three marks at the conference meet served as a season-best
- Participated in all nine regular-season meets
- Swam as a member of Florida’s third-place finishing 200 Free Relay team on September 20
- Also posted a season-bests of 1:54.89 in the 200 Back and 1:56.35 in the 200 IM at the All Florida Invitational

Prior to Florida:
- Margotti is one of the best young swimmers in his native country of Austria and has achieved many great times and accolades in his young career
- Margotti was one of 18 swimmers selected by the Austrian Swimming Federation to represent Austria at the 2014 European Junior Championships
- At that meet, he was a member of its 4x100 freestyle relay team that were finalists
- Also in 2014, Margotti finished runner-up at the Austrian Short Course National Meet in the 100-meter backstroke
- Just one year earlier at the Euro Championships, Margotti was a national champion as a member of both the 4x100 medley and freestyle relay squads
- During his youth, he was a multiple-time National Age Group champion and record holder
