FROM THE COACH: Head coach Kevin O'Sullivan the team's performance Saturday: "To be 12-3 [in the SEC] at the midway point, obviously you've got to be pleased with where you're at. But there's still a long ways to go. We've got to go to a tough place next week in Kentucky with a short week.
"I was really, really pleased with how we played today and the effort all day long. It's hard to play two games in one day. Last week we played two sevens and this was two nines and we played a really quality team in Missouri that can really pitch and play defense.
"We had a big inning there in the first game and a big inning in the second game to kind of distance ourselves a little bit but they were both really competitive games today."
STANDOUT STAT: 28 – The Gators are 28-0 when leading after six innings this season.
UP NEXT: Florida will wrap up its homestand with a midweek matchup against Jacksonville on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
Next weekend, the Gators will travel to Lexington for a three-game series at No. 11 Kentucky beginning Thursday night.
