
Waidner Wins First Coast Women's Amateur Championship

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Sophomore Lauren Waidner claimed the title at the First Coast Women's Amateur last Thursday at Timuquana Country Club.
She defeated Hannah Berman of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Chloe Shiavone of Jacksonville with a birdie on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff round. After 36 regulation holes the trio went into sudden death at an even 144 par and all three matched pars on the first extra hole. Waidner secured the title with a 15-foot putt that gave her a birdie on the second extra hole.
