GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men's and women's cross country teams will welcome nearly 30 collegiate programs for the Mountain Dew Invitational, which is scheduled for Saturday (Sept. 22) morning at the university's Mark Bostick Golf Course.
The two events scheduled, a men's 8k and women's 5k, are highlighted by a field of different collegiate programs from Florida and around the southeast.
On the men's side, the Gators, along with Florida A&M and North Florida, all of which are ranked in the top 15 of the latest USTFCCCA South Region Rankings, headline the competition. The women's side are regionally-ranked Florida and No. 2 Florida State.
Two weeks ago, the Florida women took home first home and swept the top four finishes at the North Florida Invitational, while the men finished runner-up with five top-15 finishes.

MOUNTAIN DEW INVITATIONAL HISTORY
- Since Florida's home event was renamed the Mountain Dew Invitational in 2005, the women have won 12 titles, including four consecutive titles
- Florida's men have amassed nine Mountain Dew Invitational victories, but has finished third last season
- Six female and eight male Gators have claimed individual titles at the Mountain Dew Invitational
- Last year, Jessica Pascoe became the eighth runner in Florida history with multiple top-five finishes at the MDI
- In 2016, Elisabeth Bergh became the 10th UF freshman to crack the overall top 10 in meet history.
