Florida looks to continue winning streak to nine matches
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 11 Florida Gators are on the road once again, this time for a match against Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Florida looks to move to a perfect 4-0 in conference play and extend its winning streak to nine matches.
The match will stream on the SEC Network + at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT. Eli Gold will be on play-by-play, while Natalie Ledford will serve as the color commentator.
Florida enters the match with a 12-3 record overall and a 3-0 record in SEC play. The Crimson Tide currently sit at 13-2 on the year and 1-1 in the SEC. Alabama faces South Carolina Friday night before Sunday's matchup with the Gators.
UF holds the 44-0 series advantage over Alabama, including a 21-0 record in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The Gators won last season's meeting, 3-0, at Alabama. Florida took the first set 25-17, won the second 25-18, and clinched the match with a 25-17 victory in the third set. Carli Snyder led the way with 15 kills, while returner Rachael Kramer notched 13 kills and three blocks. Paige Hammons added seven kills of her own and Allie Monserez dished out 16 assists.
Florida is looking to start 4-0 in conference play for the 23rd time under Mary Wise.
