Thoughts on the Race from Assistant Coach Chris Solinsky:
- "I thought the women did a really good job of establishing position early, working together mid race and competing hard all the way through. I saw some really encouraging things from all the ladies. We are light years' ahead of where we were last year and that's a reflection of a lot of hard work. We still have a lot of areas to work on, but this was a great first race."
- "The men did a good job of getting off the line and reacting to the race. They did a great job of working the middle of the race to pull ourselves closer to the front. We left three of our top seven home to put in some more work, so we only get stronger. We are in a good spot moving forward."
- "Today's objective was to race hard with a lot of training fatigue and see how we responded to adversity when faced with it. Both the men and the women came off the summer quite well and now we go back to work."
