McCool Earns Second Straight Women’s SEC Diver of the Week Honor

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ashley McCool was named the Southeastern Conference Women's Diver of the Week for the second consecutive week after winning both diving events against No. 18 Minnesota on Oct. 11.
McCool garners back-to-back SEC Women's Diver of the Week accolades after winning the award last week for her performances against FIU, Miami and FAU on Sept. 26-28.
Against Minnesota, the Cochrane, Alberta, Canada native won her sixth and seventh event of the season.
On the 3-meter, she posted a season-best and SEC-leading score of 338.40 while winning the 1-meter with a tally of 305.85, less than one point away from her season-high.
Florida returns to the pool on Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. for their conference opener against No. 6 Missouri at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
