Florida heads to Baton Rouge, La. for Sunday match

BATON ROUGE, La. – The No. 13 Florida volleyball team heads to the Bayou to take on the LSU Tigers on Sunday afternoon.
The match will air on the SEC Network +, with first serve coming at 2 p.m. ET in the Maravich Center.
The Gators are coming off a sweep of South Carolina on Wednesday night, while the Tigers defeated Alabama on Friday evening.
Florida is ranked in the top-3 in three different categories in the SEC: hitting percentage (2nd, .265); opponent hitting efficiency (2nd, .168) and blocks per set (1st, 2.75).
Individually, Thayer Hall is ranked sixth in points per set (4.33), seventh in service aces per set (0.31) and seventh in kills per set (3.69).
Marlie Monserez sits fourth in the conference with 9.87 assists per set, while Allie Gregory is fifth in digs per set, averaging 4.15.
Lauren Dooley is ranked second in blocks per set, averaging 1.28 and Paige Hammons is also ranked fourth in service aces per set, registering 0.32 through the season thus far.
In conference play, the Gators are ranked first in blocks per set (3.09) and first in opponent hitting percentage (.167). Lauren Dooley is first in the league in blocks per set, averaging 1.52, while Rachael Kramer is second in hitting percentage (.402).
In the last meeting, the Gators won the 3-0 decision in Gainesville, Fla. on Nov. 16, 2018. UF took the first set in a tight 26-24 battle, then won the second frame, 25-19. Florida was able to secure the match victory with a 25-22 win in the final set.
The Gators' offense was led by the trio of Holly Carlton, Taelor Kellum and Rachael Kramer, who all posted 12 kills on the night.
Kramer posted a .478 hit clip on her way to 12 kills and Kellum went 12-4-24 for a .333 hitting percentage.
Allie Monserez dished out a team-leading 23 assists during the match and Marlie Monserez added 12 on the night.
Allie Gregory led the Gators' defensive effort, registering 18 digs during the match. The defensive play of Riley Fischer (7 digs) and Paula Cerame (5 digs) also ignited the backcourt and helped the Gators clinch the victory.
As a squad, Florida collected 10 blocks, including a team-best seven from Rachael Kramer. Mia Sokolowski also added six blocks during the match.
