Gators Continue Homestand Against Tennessee

Florida faces off against the Lady Vols on Sunday at 1 p.m. on the SEC Network

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 13 Florida volleyball teams continues its SEC schedule with a match against Tennessee on Sunday in Exactech Arena.
First serve is slated for 1 p.m. on the SEC Network, with Sam Ravech and Missy Whittemore on the call.
The Gators are coming off a sweep of Alabama on Friday night, while Tennessee fell in straight sets to South Carolina in its last outing.
Sunday's match includes numerous promotions, including the #WearBlue initiative. There will also be a Fall Festival, where kids can decorate pumpkins, participate in games and get their faces painted.
Florida is ranked in the top-3 in three different categories in the SEC: hitting percentage (2nd, .271); opponent hitting efficiency (2nd, .172) and blocks per set (1st, 2.66).
Individually, Thayer Hall is ranked fifth in points per set (4.48), eighth in service aces per set (0.30) and sixth in kills per set (3.85).Â
Marlie Monserez sits fourth in the conference with 9.96 assists per set, while Allie Gregory is fourth in digs per set, averaging 4.24.
Lauren Dooley is ranked second in blocks per set, averaging 1.23 and Paige Hammons is third in service aces per set, registering 0.35 through the season thus far.
In conference play, the Gators are ranked first in blocks per set (2.79) and second in opponent hitting percentage (.177). Rachael Kramer is first in the league in hitting percentage (.391) and Lauren Dooley is second in blocks per set, averaging 1.38.
In the last meeting between Florida and Tennessee on Nov. 21, 2018, the Gators dropped the 3-0 decision in Knoxville, Tenn. (22-25, 16-25, 21-25).
Florida finished with seven blocks overall, with a team-best three coming from Rachael Kramer, Holly Carlton and Taelor Kellum.
The Gators were paced on the offensive front by Kramer, who recorded seven kills in the match. Paige Hammons and Carlton both followed with six kills apiece and Mia Sokolowski added five on the night.
Allie Monserez led the setting efforts for Florida, dishing out 15 assists, while Marlie Monserez added seven assists of her own, as well as three kills in the match.
Allie Gregory led the defensive effort in the backcourt, recording 18 digs.
