GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After helping Florida to a 2-0 weekend in SEC play, sophomore
Thayer Hall was honored by the league on Monday afternoon.
Hall was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Over the course of the weekend, the sophomore averaged 4.00 kills per set, a .353 clip, 4.93 points per set and 2.29 digs per set.
Against Alabama on Friday night, Hall recorded 15 kills with no errors in 31 swings in three sets. Her .484 clip was a career-high hitting percentage.
Hall also notched five digs and three blocks in the match.
The Spartanburg, S.C. native followed that performance with her ninth double-double of the season, registering 13 kills and 11 digs. Hall recorded three blocks and two service aces in the match as well.
Hall currently sits fifth in the league in points per set (4.46), sixth in kills per set (3.82) and eighth in service aces per set (0.31).
The Gators are back in action on Wednesday against the Missouri Tigers in Columbia, Mo. The match is slated for a 9 p.m. ET first serve on ESPNU.
