AUBURN, Ala. – The 15th-ranked Florida volleyball team heads to Auburn, Ala. to take on the Tigers on Wednesday in a SEC matchup.
First serve is slated for 9 p.m. ET on the SEC Network with Dawn Davenport and Jenny Hazelwood on the call.
The Gators are coming off a tough five-set loss to Kentucky, while Auburn dropped a three-set contest to LSU on Sunday.
Florida is ranked in the top-3 in three different categories in the SEC: hitting percentage (2nd, .278), opponent hitting efficiency (3rd, .180) and blocks per set (1st, 2.55).
Individually,
Thayer Hall is ranked fifth in points per set (4.57), eighth in service aces per set (0.30) and sixth in kills per set (3.91).
Rachael Kramer sits fifth in the league in hitting percentage with a .373 clip.
Marlie Monserez ranks fourth in the conference with 10.33 assists per set, while
Allie Gregory is fourth in digs per set, averaging 4.16.
Lauren Dooley is ranked third in blocks per set, averaging 1.13 and
Paige Hammons is also ranked fourth in service aces per set, registering 0.36 through the season thus far.
In conference play, the Gators are ranked second in blocks per set (2.56), third in hitting percentage (.279) and third in opponent hitting percentage (.203).
Rachael Kramer is first in the league in hitting percentage (.434).
In the last meeting between the two squads on Sept. 27, Florida won in straight sets (25-12, 25-18, 25-12).
The Gators hit a season-best .427 on the night, all while holding Auburn to a -.041 clip.
Thayer Hall led the way with 14 kills, hitting .427 on 27 swings with only one error.
Rachael Kramer,
Paige Hammons,
Holly Carlton and
Marlie Monserez all posted five kills on the evening and each hit .500 or better.
Marlie Monserez dished out a team-high 30 assists, while
Allie Gregory led the defensive effort in the backcourt, posting 11 digs.
As a squad, Florida recorded seven blocks, led by three apiece from
Rachael Kramer and
Lauren Dooley.
