Gators Collect Three Event Wins on Day Two at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – The University of Florida men's swimming team returned to action for day two of the Auburn Invitational Saturday at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center. Miguel Cancel, Viktor Toth, and Dakota Mahaffey all won individual events to lead the Gators.
Cancel won the 400 IM final with a personal-best swim of 3:51.92.
With a career-best performance of 48.00, Isaac Davis came in fourth in the 100 Fly final. Tyler Silver added a season-best time of 48.32 and placed sixth.
Toth won the 200 Free final with a season-best 1:38.90. Drew Clark came in 11th with a season-best 1:40.81. Matthew Anderson finished in 13th and Marty Stange placed 15th. In the prelims, Dillon Hillis recorded a personal-best swim of 1:38.50.
Chandler Bray and Stanley Wu finished tied for third in the 100 Breast final as both men set a season-best mark of 53.92. Dillon Hillis added a fifth-place finish.
Mahaffey placed first the 100 Back final with a season-best 48.12. Ethan Beach finished second with a season-best 48.17.
The Auburn Invitational continues Saturday at 10:30 a.m. ET with the 200 Back prelims.
