
Madden Punches Second Ticket to NCAA Championships

AUBURN, Ala. – Brooke Madden earned her second invitation for the NCAA Championships with her performance on the 1-meter. The University of Florida women's diving team returned to the boards for the second day of the NCAA Zone B Regional held at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center on Tuesday.
Madden placed second overall with a combined prelim and final score of 602.95. Even though she could finish inside the top-12 and still make the championships, Madden made sure she secured another spot in the NCAA Championships with a top-8 finish.
Madden led UF in the prelims with a tally of 305.70 and finished in second. Elizabeth Perez finished with a 22nd-place score of 242.10. With an effort of 236.75, Teya Syskakis placed 23rd overall. Emma Whitner came in 26th with a total of 226.35. Abigail Howell collected a mark of 221.50 and placed 29th.
The final day of the zones begins at 11 a.m. ET. Wednesday, March 13, with the platform prelims. Madden, Perez, Lauren Snider, Syskakis, and Whitner will compete on the platform for the Gators.
