No. 6 Gators Fall in Series Finale to No. 5 Alabama

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 6 Florida fell, 3-0, to No. 5 Alabama on Saturday afternoon at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
Offensively, the Gators (37-12, 9-9 SEC) rattled off seven hits and earned two walks with Amanda Lorenz (2-for-3) leading the way at the plate with two hits. Five other Gators recorded a hit apiece, but Alabama (45-4, 14-4 SEC) held Florida from scoring in each instance the Gators threatened.
In the circle, Kelly Barnhill (25-8) threw 7.0 innings and allowed five hits, three walks and three runs, two earned, while striking out four batters.
The Crimson Tide completed the sweep behind the performances of Krystal Goodman (9-0) and Montana Fouts in the circle.
With six regular season games left, the Gators will look to build back up a bit of momentum ahead of postseason play with a pair of three-game matchups at Auburn and then home against Mississippi State to end the season.
