The UF men's golf team has one round left to qualify for NCAA Championships.
PULLMAN, Wash. – The Florida men's golf team wrapped the second day of regionals in a tie for eighth. The top five teams at the end of the final round will advance to NCAA Championships next week.
Â
Despite the slide on the leaderboard, each Gator on the course recorded at least two birdies in their rounds, including one on both the first and second nine. Back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16 helped sophomore
John Axelsen end his round on a high note. Sophomore
Chris Nido and junior
Blake Dyer each recorded multiple birdies on their second nine holes as well. Axelsen and Nido both remain inside the top 20 in a tie for 17th.
Â
The final round begins first thing Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. (ET). The Gators tee times will begin at 11:25.
