Gators Prepare for Final Day of NCAA Regionals

The UF men's golf team has one round left to qualify for NCAA Championships.
PULLMAN, Wash. – The Florida men's golf team wrapped the second day of regionals in a tie for eighth. The top five teams at the end of the final round will advance to NCAA Championships next week.

Despite the slide on the leaderboard, each Gator on the course recorded at least two birdies in their rounds, including one on both the first and second nine. Back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16 helped sophomore John Axelsen end his round on a high note. Sophomore Chris Nido and junior Blake Dyer each recorded multiple birdies on their second nine holes as well. Axelsen and Nido both remain inside the top 20 in a tie for 17th.

The final round begins first thing Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. (ET). The Gators tee times will begin at 11:25.
