Florida Hits Road for Final Series

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida (30-23, 10-17 SEC) is in Columbia, Mo., this weekend for its final regular-season series of the season, facing No. 22 Missouri (34-18-1, 13-13-1).
SERIES HISTORY | Overall: Florida leads, 20-4. In Columbia: Florida leads, 6-3. Notable: Florida has won nine-straight games against the Tigers, sweeping the last three series. Since Missouri joined the SEC in 2013, the Gators are 15-3 against the Tigers and 5-1 in weekend series.
TOUGH SLEDDING: Nine of Florida's final 10 games are against Top 25 opponents. The Gators faced #8 Georgia, #24 Tennessee and #22 Missouri in the final three weeks.

LANGWORTHY ON FIRE: Junior Austin Langworthy is 35-for-103 (.340) with 22 RBI and 14 extra-base hits in his last 27 games. He started the season in a slump, hitting just .187 (17-for-91). On the season, he has already set new career bests in home runs (7), RBI (33) and slugging percentage (.454).
HOW BOUT DEM APPLES: Sophomore catcher Brady Smith (who's doppelganger is Matt Damon) has been on a tear over his last 20 games, hitting .393 (22-for-56) with three home runs and nine RBI. He has already surpassed his totals from his freshman season with five home runs and 18 RBI on the year.
DALTON TRENDING UP: Junior Wil Dalton struggled in the early part of the season but is trending up with a .327 average (17-52) over the past 15 games with four home runs and 12 RBI.
TWICE IN A WEEK: After making his first career start last Tuesday, freshman Nick Pogue started again Sunday and was fantastic both outings. He pitched five shutout innings against USF and limited Tennessee to one run in 5.1 innings on Sunday. His start against USF was the first scoreless outing by a UF starter since April 2.
HOME SWEET HOME: The Gators have been a different team at McKethan Stadium compared to when they hit the road.
