Axelsen Earns PING All-Region Honors

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida men's golf sophomore John Axelsen has earned himself a spot on the PING All-Region Southeast team.
Axelsen led the Gators in stroke average this season (71.54) and was often the top finisher for Florida. He was also in contention to win the NCAA Regional in Pullman, Washington, where the Gators ended their season. His highest finish of the year came in September when he finished in a tie for third after shooting a season-low 64 in the first round. He finished the year leading the team with four top-10 finishes.
