Gators-Dawgs to Play Fall Exhibition in Jacksonville

The exhibition game will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 with a concert by country artist Brett Young and guests to follow. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida baseball team will play Georgia in Jacksonville on Friday, Nov. 1, at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, as part of Duuuval's Bold City Bash and the annual Florida-Georgia football weekend the City of Jacksonville announced on Friday.
 
The exhibition game will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a concert by country artist Brett Young and guests to follow. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
 
Tickets are $15 and include the baseball exhibition game, the concert and a fireworks show. Admission is free for children three and under. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.com.
 
The Gators will begin fall practices on Friday, Oct. 11. Weekly practice schedules will be posted on FloridaGators.com the Friday before each week.
 
The Bold City Bash encompasses nearly a week of fan-centric interactive events that celebrate the tradition and excellence of one of the SEC's biggest rivalries that has called Jacksonville home since 1933. Duuuval's Bold City Bash will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 29 and continue through game day on Saturday, Nov. 2.
 
"The Florida-Georgia game is one of college football's most storied rivalries and has deep roots in our community," said Mayor Lenny Curry. "This year, we're working to make the game and surrounding events bigger than ever. The Bold City Bash will bring more people and excitement to Downtown Jacksonville and our Sports & Entertainment Complex, and demonstrates our steadfast commitment to keeping this long-standing tradition here in Jacksonville."
 
Kicking off the week is the opening of RV City on Tuesday, Oct. 29 where more than 100 RV's will setup home for the entire weekend. Fans can enjoy hospitality amenities at the official Florida-Georgia Welcome followed by the opening of the Welcome Center on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
 
Weekend festivities for Duuuval's Bold City Bash will begin Friday Nov. 1 with the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Luncheon. The luncheon, to be held in the TIAA Bank West Club at noon, celebrates the successful achievement of both teams and recognizes one of the nation's premier collegiate rivalries. During the luncheon, fans can be front and center as two past team members from each university are inducted to the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame. Inductees and ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks.
 
Immediately following the Hall of Fame Luncheon, fans can participate in various interactive experiences as well as check out a new and improved curated Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame Exhibit at the Duuuval's Bold City Bash Fan Fare at the Daily's Place Flex Field. The Fan Fare is free to the public and will open at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
 
The fan experience continues on Friday evening with the Duuuval's Bold City Bash Block Party along Adams Street and A. Philip Randolph Boulevard. The streets will come alive with two stages of live music, sponsor activations with various free giveaways, food trucks featuring Jacksonville's best eats, a beer garden with local brews and more interactive experiences. The Block Party opens at 4 p.m. and is free to the public.
 
At 5:30 p.m. the gates to the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville will open for the Gators vs. Dawgs Fall Exhibition Baseball Game. First pitch will be at 6:30 p.m. Immediately following the baseball game, the grounds will transform into the backdrop for Duuuval's Bold City Bash Concert featuring award-winning country sensation, Brett Young with special guests. The concert will close with a fireworks show that will light up the night sky.
 
Duuuval's Bold City Bash will continue on Saturday, Nov. 2 for game day festivities in Daily's Place Flex Field. The Bash will culminate with one of the most storied rivalries in the nations – Florida-Georgia. Gates to TIAA Bank Field will open at 1:30 p.m. and kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m.
