
Glass City Invitational Begins Monday for No. 8 Gators

The Florida Women's golf teams will travel to Toledo, Ohio for its second tournament of fall season.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The No. 8 Florida women's golf team continues its fall season at the Glass City Invitational in Toledo, Ohio. Hosted by the University of Toledo, the two-day event is scheduled to run from Monday, Sept. 16 to Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Format: The teams will complete 54 holes of stroke play over two days of competition. The first and second rounds will take place on Monday, Sept. 16 with a shotgun start beginning at 8:45 a.m. ET. An 8:00 a.m. ET tee time start will be utilized for the final round on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
How to Follow: Updates throughout the tournament will be provided on Golfstat.com and Twitter via @GatorsGolf. A complete recap with full results will be posted on FloridaGators.com following each day of play.
The last few holes of Tuesday's final round will be broadcasted on ESPN3 beginning at 12 pm.
Course Information: The tournament is being played at the Par 72, 6,249 yards Iverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. This is the first time that the Iverness Club is hosting a Toledo women's golf event.
A plethora of prestigious tournaments have been played at this venue, including four U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships and the U.S. Amateur.

Last Time Out: The Gators opened the fall season with a third-place finish at the Cougar Classic after shooting a collective 24-under 840.
Florida finished just three strokes behind eventual champion Vanderbilt, but its low scores created a notable 15-stroke spread between it and the fourth place team.
Upperclassmen Addie Baggarly and Sierra Brooks led the way for the Gators as they both shot 6 under to finish tied for fourth. Baggarly recorded two 68s throughout the tournament, tying her career-low round.
Marta Perez also had a solid outing for the Gators. After finishing the first round 2 over, the senior stormed back, only recording one bogey through the final two rounds, to finish 4-under 212 and tied for tenth place.
Elin Esborn tied for 12th after shooting 3 under. Esborn's performance was highlighted by a bogey-free 68 in the second round, tying her career-low.
Clara Manzalini and Marina Escobar Domingo both ended with scores slightly above par to finish tied for 29th and tied for 34th, respectively.
Coming Up: The Gators travel to Evanston, Ill., for Northwestern's Windy City Collegiate beginning on Monday, Sept. 30.
