Florida moves up three spots to No. 7 in the latest AVCA Top-25 poll
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After picking up two road wins to kick off the 2019 season, the Florida volleyball team moved up three spots to No. 7 in the AVCA Top-25 poll.
Florida started the year with a sweep against No. 25 Louisville, winning 25-17, 25-21, 25-21 against the Cardinals in front of a sellout crowd.
The Gators then followed up with a comeback win against Dayton, grabbing the 3-2 victory (21-25, 17-25, 25-14, 25-23, 16-14) to secure the perfect 2-0 weekend.
UF continues its tough pre-conference stretch with a matchup against No. 1 Stanford on Wednesday at 8 p.m. That will serve as Florida's home opener at Exactech Arena and will be aired on the SEC Network.

Other teams receiving votes: Washington State 73; Missouri 63; TCU 37; California 28; Rice 24; Iowa 21; Arizona 19; Cal Poly 18; Colorado 18; Northern Iowa 16; Colorado State 14; Maryland 14; Cincinnati 10; UCF 6. Three teams mentioned on only one ballot for a total of six combined points.
