GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 11 Florida volleyball team extended its win streak to six matches, sweeping Northern Arizona on Friday evening.
With the win, Florida remains perfect in the Gators Invitational before facing Louisiana at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Gators took the first set in dominating fashion, winning 25-14. That was followed by a 25-17 Florida win in the second set and a 25-13 victory to ensure the match.
On the night, Florida hit .333 as a team, registering 42 kills. Thayer Hall led the way with 13 kills of her own, while Paige Hammons pitched in eight.
Rachael Kramer recorded seven kills on the night and Holly Carlton registered six in the victory.
Marlie Monserez ran the offense for Florida, dishing out 30 assists on the night – an average of 10.00 assists per set.
Hammons notched a team-best 13 digs, while Allie Gregory added 11. Hall was just one dig away from her fifth double-double of the year, finishing the night with nine.
The Gators racked up 8.5 blocks against Northern Arizona, led by five from Lauren Dooley. Kramer, Hammons and Hall each pitched in two on the night.
As a team, Florida recorded six service aces, including three from Chanelle Hargreaves. That total tied her career-best mark.
Florida is back in action on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. against Louisiana.

How it Happened
- The teams were tied through the first five points of the set, but behind the serves of Chanelle Hargreaves, the Gators were able to take the 14-5 lead. From that point on, it was all Florida – the closest NAU would get the rest of the way was six points at 19-13. Once again, behind the serves of Hargreaves, the Gators closed out the set on a 6-1 run.
- Florida hit .333 in the first set, holding the Lumberjacks to just a .026 hit clip. Thayer Hall led the way with eight kills and Rachael Kramer added four in the frame.
- The Gators trailed only once in the second set, falling behind 1-0 on the first point. Florida then went on a 10-5 run to take the four-point advantage at 10-6. NAU clawed back to within three points at 14-11, but Paige Hammons led the Gators on a service run to put Florida up 18-11. Florida continued to push, securing the frame with a 25-17 win.
- UF hit .289 in the frame, racking up 15 kills. Paige Hammons and Thayer Hall each recorded four kills apiece in the set. Holly Carlton and Lauren Dooley both pitched in three as well.
- It was all Florida in the third set, with the Gators getting out to a 10-5 early. UF continued to hold at least a five-point lead from that point on, garnering as large as a 10-point advantage at 23-13. Darrielle King closed out the frame with a kill and block to secure the three-set victory for Florida.
- Florida hit .409 in the final frame and held NAU to a -.048 clip in the set. Paige Hammons posted four kills, while Darrielle King and Rachael Kramer both posted two kills in the set.
